Prominent Trader: Watch for Short-Term Pullback After Bitcoin’s Strong Breakout

Prominent trader Killa compared Bitcoin’s 2022 bottom pattern to its current formation, advising investors to watch for potential short-term pullbacks from highs. “Bitcoin will still hold its previous lows and won’t actually break below them,” he noted. He added that the only way to validate this pattern is for BTC to pull back to its prior consolidation range and show clear signs of weakness on 4-hour (4H) or daily (1D) charts. If no weakness emerges and BTC fails to return to that range, the pattern will be invalidated. Killa, a BTC-focused quantitative trader, correctly predicted the peak of the current bull market in May 2025 and boasts over 200,000 followers on X. In mid-April, he shorted Bitcoin at $74,688 before switching to a long position during the broad market sell-off on June 5.

Fu Peng: The U.S. and Japan jointly intervened to push down U.S. Treasury yields, providing valuation support for large tech and AI companies with strong cash flow.

Chief Economist Fu Peng of Xinhuo Group noted that recent joint U.S.-Japan exchange rate intervention has pre-emptively defused the risk of Japan potentially offloading large volumes of U.S. Treasuries, avoiding pressure on long-dated U.S. government bonds. This has caused the scale of long-term Treasury repurchase operations to double, precisely targeting summer short sellers and forcibly suppressing long-term yields and term premiums. Fu Peng believes the U.S.-Japan intervention aims to prevent a debt interest spiral from triggering a collateral liquidity crisis. The joint intervention, paired with hot money inflows, has left short-term rates pegged while long-term rates are artificially suppressed, leading to a significant flattening of the yield curve. Lowered 10-year and 30-year rates provide valuation support for large tech and AI companies with strong cash flow, while reducing the appeal of overseas carry trades and weakening foreign demand for long-dated U.S. Treasuries.

Via a partnership with regulated broker Alpaca, these rTokens connect directly to global liquidity pools including the Nasdaq and New York Stock Exchange. Their key features include: 1:1 reserve backing of underlying assets held by licensed custodians, stock dividends distributed 1:1 in token form, synchronized mapping of corporate actions (such as stock splits and consolidations), and holdings eligible as combined margin for unified accounts and U-denominated contracts, enabling users to flexibly manage funds while holding global stock assets.
