Insane! More than $50M has been stolen from whale "TLBL". Two years ago, whale "TLBL" lost $24M in a phishing attack. Today, the whale appears to have had its private key compromised, and over $26M in assets across 3 wallets were completely drained.

According to Yu Jian Monitoring, a crypto whale that leveraged to chase the rally and buy $30 million worth of ETH in early June sold 15,993 ETH at an average price of $1,889 today, repaying its $30.2 million USDS loan, with a leveraged profit of $4.3 million.

According to ScamSniffer monitoring, a cryptocurrency holder had two wallets drained in just 15 minutes due to suspected private key leakage, incurring losses of roughly $25 million. The two addresses belonging to the same victim transferred all their assets—including DAI, WBTC, aUSDC, LDO, sUSDe, and native ETH—to a new address. Within an hour, the stolen funds were converted into DAI and ETH: 20 million DAI was sent to another address, while around 3,000 ETH remained in the consolidated address. The incident is suspected to stem from private key leakage rather than a typical phishing authorization. Notably, this victim is the same wallet that lost 4,851 rETH and 9,579 stETH (valued at approximately $24 million) in September 2023 after signing a phishing-linked increaseAllowance transaction; the attacker ultimately returned roughly 90% of the stolen funds at that time.

According to BIT (bit.com) market data, Securitize (SECZ) shares plunged 20% in Wednesday’s after-hours trading. The tokenization firm, which released its first earnings report since going public last month, missed Wall Street’s second-quarter expectations. The company is known for issuing and managing BlackRock’s BUIDL tokenized money market fund. The report showed revenue of $14.4 million, down 5% year-over-year, and below analysts’ consensus estimate of $20.6 million. Securitize posted a per-share loss of $2.37, versus the expected loss of just $0.15. Metaplanet CEO Simon Gerovich stated in a post that the firm transferred 5,014 BTC between its custodial addresses over the past 24 hours, noting this is a routine custody operation with no Bitcoin sold. Metaplanet’s Bitcoin holdings remain at 43,000 BTC. All related addresses are public, so the transfer can be observed in real time. The transferred BTC is valued at $322 million, with total network fees amounting to roughly $8.

According to Caixin, after more than a month of retrieving brokerage data and analyzing individual transactions, U.S. options market makers HNA International and Citadel Securities—acting as plaintiffs—have significantly narrowed the scope of the suspected insider trading case involving Futu and Tiger Options to 47 accounts controlled by 45 individuals. By comparing metrics including transaction profits, return rates, contract volumes, expiration dates, brokerages, locations, and position opening times across each account, the total suspected illegal gains from the insider trading have risen to $155 million. The specific list of the 45 individuals has not been made public, but the vast majority are based outside the U.S., with most residing in mainland China and Hong Kong. One individual controls three accounts; some have earned tens of millions of dollars in illegal gains, while the smallest amount of illegal gains is hundreds of thousands of dollars.
