This strategic tech collaboration enables Mastercard’s billions of cardholders to skip the hassle of traditional centralized exchanges, letting them purchase digital assets directly within on-chain smart contracts. Fueling this "fiat on-ramp wallet" conversion system is a highly sophisticated multi-party routing engine. The engine is built to meet strict regulatory compliance standards without sacrificing transaction execution speed. Instead of creating a closed proprietary network, Mastercard and Chainlink opted to synergize their respective payment and data verification networks, integrating them alongside a consortium of fintech infrastructure providers.
