On May 20, BBC reported that two American men were arrested last Sunday after breaking into Ichikawa Zoo in Japan. The zoo houses a baby monkey named Punch, who went viral on social media earlier this year.
Reid Jahnai Daysun, 24, climbed over a fence into the monkey enclosure, while his accomplice Neal Jabahri Duan, 27, recorded the entire incident. Following the break-in, Chiba Prefectural police—based in a Tokyo suburb—took both men into custody.
Surveillance video shows Daysun wearing a blue suit covered in smiley-face emojis as he crawled into the monkey habitat.
