Mexican billionaire Ricardo has revealed that 70% of his investment portfolio is made up of Bitcoin-related assets.

On March 4th, as reported by Bloomberg, Mexican billionaire Ricardo Salinas disclosed that 70% of his investment portfolio is composed of Bitcoin-related assets, and 30% is in gold and stocks of gold mining companies. Ricardo Salinas intends to privatize his company Grupo Elektra SAB as early as May to get rid of the restrictions in the public market and operate the business independently. Salinas is currently engaged in a legal battle with the Mexican government over a tax dispute of 6.3 billion pesos (approximately $300 million) while trying to recover the funds lost due to loan fraud. In November 2023, Elektra applied for trading suspension to prevent the sale of Salinas's pledged loan shares, which led to a 70% decline in the stock price, causing his net worth to shrink by approximately $5 billion. Salinas stated that after privatization, Elektra will restructure its various business segments and may seek partnerships instead of relying on debt or equity financing.
