Vitalik: Ethereum is not a commercial company; excellent ecosystem projects will have their own marketing

2025.02.20 00:08:32

On February 20th, Vitalik, a co-founder of Ethereum, responded to a question about "Do you think Ethereum needs more commercialized management?" during a text AMA held on the Tako platform. He said: I believe that Ethereum is a decentralized ecosystem rather than a company. If Ethereum becomes a company, we will lose a significant part of the reason for its existence. In fact, the Ethereum ecosystem has many large companies, such as ConsenSys and various client teams (Nethermind, Nimbus, etc.), Coinbase, and L2 teams (including projects like Aztec and StarkWare, whose privacy technologies are very interesting and often underestimated). The best way is to find ways to provide these companies with more opportunities to utilize the advantages of companies, with the foundation serving as a coordinating entity.
