Bitcoin drops below $87,000

On December 24, Farside Investors reported that Bitcoin ETFs saw a net outflow of $188.6 million yesterday, while Ethereum ETFs recorded a net outflow of $95.5 million.

HashKey Capital announced on December 24 that it has closed the first round of fundraising for its fourth fund—the HashKey Fintech Multi-Strategy Fund IV—securing $250 million. The firm previously set a final target asset under management (AUM) of $500 million for the fund. Its investor base is diverse, including institutional investors, prominent family offices and high-net-worth individuals. HashKey Capital noted the fourth fund will employ a diversified investment strategy, focusing on global infrastructure, scalability and large-scale application scenarios. It combines public market investment strategies with liquidity-driven cross-investment opportunities, and will selectively pursue private market investments to boost the alpha of innovative projects.

On December 24th, the Hyper Foundation announced via social media that the HYPE tokens in its grant address have been officially confirmed as burned. The governance vote was conducted through a stake-weighted mechanism: 85% of staked tokens supported the burn, 7% opposed it, and 8% abstained.

December 24 – Yi Lihua, founder of Liquid Capital (formerly LD Capital), said in a social media post: "Trend Research is earmarking an additional $1 billion to keep buying ETH on top of its current position. We mean what we say—we strongly advise against shorting, and this is undoubtedly a historic opportunity."

Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) said on December 24 it has added “ProfitCoke” and “Globiance X Limited / Globiance HK Limited” to its list of suspicious virtual asset trading platforms. The regulator noted both entities are promoting and operating virtual asset trading platforms and are allegedly engaging in unlicensed activities. Separately, some investors have reported trouble withdrawing their assets from the Globiance X/Globiance HK platforms.
