Last weekend, the average transaction cost of Ethereum and Solana reached their closest level in history

2025.02.17 11:58:42

On February 17th, according to Conor Grogan, an executive at Coinbase, the average transaction cost on the Ethereum mainnet over the last weekend came extremely close to reaching the level of Solana's average transaction cost. At 7:00 on February 15, 2025, during that period, the difference between the two was only $0.28. It is worth noting that during the Libra controversy, there were multiple situations where the cost of token swaps on Solana was higher than that on the Ethereum layer 1 network.

Crypto whale sets 10 major targets: Bullish trend remains unchanged, Bitcoin successfully holds $74,000 after CPI shock

Whale "First Set 10 Big Goals" stated after today’s U.S. CPI data release triggered Bitcoin’s short-term "pin dip" to $76,046 that the leading cryptocurrency has not fallen below $74,000, and its bullish trend remains intact. The whale referenced an August 25 tweet in which he asked, "Which is more likely right now: a reversal or a major rally?" In that post, he noted the trend had reversed. "This round of momentum has been more intense than I initially imagined, so we can be bolder in our outlook. I believe it’s still not too late to enter at $80,000 or even above $80,000—there’s still room to grow. It’s very likely that $100,000 will be reached earlier than I originally expected."

Robinhood App Faces Discrepancy Between INDEX Token Name and Market Data; Community Alleges Mislabeling as Index Cooperative

X user @trynafindbebe posted that an INDEX token has appeared on Robinhood’s crypto platform. The page is labeled under the old project Index Cooperative, but its displayed price and trend align more closely with the Robinhood Chain’s INDEX token rather than Index Cooperative’s governance token on Ethereum. The user also alleged that Robinhood co-founder Vlad Tenev liked their related post on August 4, and the said INDEX token showed up on the app the next day. As of press time, Robinhood has not officially confirmed the listing time, nor clarified whether the like was connected to the token’s inclusion. On the same day, tracking account NewListingsFeed announced “INDEX and COOPERATIVE have been added to Robinhood’s tradable assets”, noting that the update reflects a change to the platform’s asset list that day but is from automated monitoring and not an official announcement. Separately, market reports state that the INDEX-related page on Robinhood has returned a 404 error.

Jiang Zhuoer: Despite taking the wrong position on BTC, he still turned a profit, with total gains of around 4.3% across three trades.

Founder of BTC.TOP (B.TOP) mining pool Jiang Zhuoer posted that he booked a profit despite taking a wrong short position on Bitcoin (BTC). Using the price at 8:29:47 PM today and the current screenshot price as benchmarks, his three trades were: a full short BTC position executed between $77,226 and $78,730.74, resulting in a 1.95% loss; a full spot Ethereum (ETH) position traded between $2,467.61 and $2,609.31, generating a 5.74% gain; and a 5% spot BNC position traded between $4.81 and $5.305, yielding a 0.51% gain. The total profit from these operations was approximately 4.3%. Jiang Zhuoer also stated today that he has sold his entire BTC position at $77,226. Yesterday, he noted that following the release of the latest U.S. Producer Price Index (PPI) data, the probability of a Federal Reserve interest rate hike rose to 70%. He added that he expects tomorrow’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) data will not be favorable, so he has prepared to take a short position.

Artificial Inu (AI) briefly approached a market capitalization of nearly $300 million, with a 38.1% gain over the past 24 hours.

According to GMGN market data, Artificial Inu (AI), a meme coin linked to crypto-stocks on the Robinhood chain, saw its market capitalization briefly approach $300 million, hitting a recent high. It is now trading at $265 million, with a 38.1% 24-hour gain and $30.2 million in trading volume. Artificial Inu is issued via Long.xyz, the issuance platform on the Robinhood chain, and is paired with Nvidia (NVDA) stock. Long.xyz has launched LongX Expansion, which supports packaging 3x leveraged NVDA positions on Lighter into ERC20 tokens, enabling minting/burning, DEX pool trading, and liquidity pairing. The platform has also explicitly stated that transaction fees will flow back to the AI token, making Artificial Inu effectively the de facto "platform token" of Long.xyz at this stage. BlockBeats Note: Stock Meme is an emerging concept that combines traditional meme coins with tokenized U.S. stocks. Unlike meme coins paired with USDT or ETH, these tokens are directly paired with on-chain U.S. stock tokens (such as NVDA, TSLA, AAPL), retaining meme coins' high volatility and community-driven speculative traits while anchoring the popularity and narrative of real stocks. A portion of transaction fees typically flows back to the community treasury to accumulate corresponding stock tokens, forming a dual-driven model of "sentiment speculation + real asset anchoring". BlockBeats reminds users that token prices are highly volatile, so investment requires caution.
