On October 16th, as per Decrypt, Donald Trump's son, Donald Trump Jr., who is an investor holding cryptocurrency reserves. The Nasdaq-listed company Thumzup Media is contemplating introducing Dogecoin (DOGE) as a payment reward for its Thumzup app users. The app offers cash rewards to users for sharing sponsored content. Thumzup believes that by adding DOGE as an additional payment option, it can reduce costs and enhance the settlement efficiency of cross-border micropayments. Thumzup's CEO, Robert Steele, stated in a release: "Exploring the integration of Dogecoin is a crucial next step in our endeavor to build a scalable and low-friction rewards engine. If successful, this alteration will assist in improving our unit economics and increasing our allure to a wider community of creators who embrace cryptocurrency."
