The current Bitcoin price relies on the HODLer support strategy, as large-scale venture capital funding has not entered the scene yet.

2025.02.07 23:24:23

On February 7th, as per Blockworks, Jason Yanowitz, an analyst at Empire, pointed out that if we exclude the Bitcoin purchasing behavior of Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy), the current cycle might still be in its nascent stage. The present Bitcoin price is entirely reliant on the more than $20 billion injected by Strategy from the end of last year until now. The current market is still in the "Player versus Player" (PvP) stage, and venture capital funds have not yet entered on a large scale. Dan Matuszewski from CMS Holdings concurs with this view and notes that the impact of the 2022 bear market is still ongoing. The market liquidity is severely lacking and unable to drive substantial inflows of funds. Currently, except for a "few selected targets," there has not been a large-scale influx of funds. The debate regarding whether we have reached the peak will intensify. But regardless of the position in the cycle, we must recognize that the new regulatory regime is just beginning, and its policies may become a future catalyst.

Point of View: Inflation is unlikely to decrease enough to prompt the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates this year

On March 14th, several economists on Wall Street have expressed that policymakers are not likely to be overly reassured by these numbers. This is because of the complex calculation method behind the data and the trends in key areas. Stephen Juneau, an economist at Bank of America, stated in a report, "In short, the inflation process in 2025 did not start smoothly. Our forecast for Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) inflation further confirms our view that inflation is unlikely to decline sufficiently to justify a rate cut by the Fed this year. Especially in a policy environment that is pushing inflation higher. Unless economic activity data weakens significantly, we believe that policy rates will remain unchanged by the end of the year." Although the Fed also monitors CPI and PPI, it believes that the final say on inflation belongs to the PCE Price Index. Most economists believe that the latest PCE data to be released later this month will show that the year-on-year inflation rate

Analyst: Historical data shows that venture capital is more inclined towards AI rather than cryptocurrency

On March 14th, Sam Reynolds, an analyst at CoinDesk, stated that according to Pitchbook data, in the first quarter of 2025, approximately $8.61 billion in venture capital financing was obtained in the U.S. crypto sector.
