Aster CEO: First-time entrepreneurial project was a P2P lending platform, entered the crypto space during the Ethereum ICO

On September 29th, Leonard, the CEO of Aster, stated in an interview with Mable (@Mable_Jiang), the founder of Social Protocol Trends: “I initially worked as a technologist at an investment bank in Hong Kong, mainly focusing on high-frequency trading. After 5 years, I began to venture into entrepreneurship. At that time, the narrative was 'Internet Plus.' My first entrepreneurial attempt was a P2P lending project, which eventually failed along with the entire sector. But I learned a lot from it. My entry into the crypto field was through participating in the Ethereum ICO. After making a profit, I thought I was a genius. However, I lost everything in the following three trades. Nevertheless, this experience aroused my interest in blockchain technology. I developed a lending platform project within the IBM Blockchain's Hyperledger ecosystem. It became clear that we had chosen the wrong ecosystem. We should have demonstrated our skills on Ethereum. Subsequently, I worked on an NFT and token solution for a gaming platform, which was too ahead of its time and also ended in failure.”
