Tom Lee: Crypto market will be 'very bullish' over the next 12 months, with the four-year cycle bottom potentially arriving next month.

Tom Lee, chairman of Ethereum treasury firm BitMine, said the crypto market will enter a "very bullish" phase over the next 12 months. He pointed out that on October 10 last year, the crypto market experienced over $19 billion in leveraged position liquidations due to U.S. threats to impose 100% tariffs on China, which cleared a large volume of borrowed capital, and the bottom of the crypto market’s four-year cycle may emerge next month. Lee is also optimistic about the long-term opportunities brought by asset tokenization. He estimated that if $100 trillion in assets migrate on-chain in the future and generate a 1% yield from these assets, this would produce around $1.1 trillion in annual revenue, corresponding to a roughly $20 trillion market opportunity when valued using traditional corporate metrics. However, BitMine currently holds 5.93 million ETH, with related positions posting an unrealized loss of approximately $50 billion. For over a decade, Fundstrat has consistently advised clients to allocate 2% of their investment portfolios to crypto assets; Lee stated that in client accounts that follow this recommendation, crypto assets now make up more than 85% of the total portfolio.

ARC-AGI-4 Advance Teaser: Next-Gen Release Will Test Whether AI Can Independently Invent New Things

Beating AI News Brief: Nonprofit AI evaluation body ARC Prize has announced the upcoming ARC-AGI-4, its next-generation benchmark focused on testing "autonomous open innovation" — assessing whether AI can independently explore, generate new ideas, and even make inventions and discoveries. Specific test questions, scoring criteria, and release date have not been disclosed yet. ARC Prize noted that humans still hold a clear lead over AI in open innovation, a core capability driving scientific and technological advancement. The announcement also cites Dario Amodei’s recently published article on AI slowdown. The organization emphasized that open-source remains fundamental to AI progress, opposing industry efforts to reduce openness and concentrate cutting-edge AI in the hands of a small number of institutions in the name of coordinated slowdown. ARC-AGI has long been hailed as the world’s most challenging AGI benchmark. When ARC-AGI-3 launched, humans scored 100%, while leading AI models achieved just 0.51%. The latest GPT-6 Astra has made significant gains, but only scored 62.7% under the unified Standard harness; it jumped to 99.9% when paired with OpenAI’s proprietary Provider Adapter. ARC Prize is now set to advance to the next challenge: testing whether AI can independently drive innovation.

Analysts: South Korean exchanges will test evening trading next week, a move that will gauge global demand.

South Korea’s major stock exchanges are extending trading hours into the evening, breaking Asian trading time conventions, in a bid to attract sustained demand from global investors. As part of its goal to launch 24-hour trading by December 2027, the Korea Exchange (KRX) will open trading for nearly all local stocks until 8 PM starting next Monday, up from the previous regular closing time of 3:30 PM. This marks the first such move among major Asian exchanges, aligning with the global trend of all-day trading. The new measure launching next Monday will test whether KRX can maintain sufficient liquidity over extended trading days and confirm if investors truly need the extra time—even as interest in South Korean stocks is cooling. Young-jae Lee, senior investment manager at London-based Pictet Asset Management, said: “Longer trading windows typically give investors more flexibility, making the market more efficient. Trading-oriented investors with higher turnover, or hedge fund-style investors, may use it more frequently.” Edward Kim, head of Korean equity sales at Bank of America, noted this is “another step in the continuous evolution of South Korea’s capital market and its accessibility to global investors.” (Jinshi)

Two crypto billionaires each donated $48.7 million to the UK’s Reform Party, tying for the record for the largest individual political donation in British history.

Crypto investor Christopher Harborne donated £36 million (approximately $48.7 million) to Nigel Farage-led UK Reform UK on Saturday, matching the amount of BitMEX co-founder Ben Delo’s donation the previous day. The two crypto billionaires combined to give £72 million (roughly $97.4 million) within 24 hours, with the two contributions tied as the largest individual political donations in UK party history. Harborne, an investor in stablecoin issuer Tether and crypto exchange Bitfinex, stated he is not seeking a peerage or policy adjustments. Nigel Farage said the funds will help Reform UK contest the next UK general election. Reports did not clarify if the latest donation was made in cryptocurrency; Harborne’s prior £9 million donation was in cash. The Metropolitan Police is currently investigating allegations related to political donations to Reform UK. Farage is also under parliamentary standards scrutiny over a £5 million personal grant he received from Harborne before being elected as an MP in 2024, with both Reform UK and Farage denying any wrongdoing.

Founder of Long.xyz: Approximately 10,000 new asset issuance projects have been added after the launch of the platform’s new Pre-IPO feature, and issuance restrictions will be continuously adjusted based on demand changes.

Founder Nate of Long.xyz, a crypto and meme coin issuance platform linked to Robinhood, posted that after the platform launched its new Pre-IPO feature, it added roughly 10,000 new asset issuance projects. He estimated that without token code locking and client-side issuance limits, daily issuance could hit 100,000, which would leave the platform dominated by bots, making it difficult for regular users to sift through the flood of new assets, and potentially fuel FOMO trading, volume chasing, and inflated data. Long will continuously adjust issuance limits based on demand shifts, and plans to add asset discovery filters to help users screen projects using metrics such as whale holding ratios, asset tenure, and anti-fragility, while aggregating liquidity and capital flows into high-performing, unique assets within its ecosystem. The team is monitoring suspicious activity across all trading pairs; no major issues have been identified to date, but new risk control parameters are ready. If pump-and-dump activities are found to be coordinated manipulations rather than natural market moves, the team can swiftly activate relevant restriction measures.
