On May 28th, the Lido V3 Whitepaper is now available and open for feedback. Lido V3, which was launched in February 2025, enhances the current protocol and introduces stVaults: a staking primitive that allows for the construction of non-custodial, permissionless, and customizable staking products, enabling on-demand liquidity backed by stETH. While the concept of V3 has been finalized, key aspects are still in the process of being developed. Contributors are specifically seeking feedback on the design and risk management of stVaults in order to balance the risk profile and redeemability of stETH with validator-driven operator selection, reserve ratio, and risk levels.
