May 15th. This morning, the publicly listed Japanese company Metaplanet issued its Q1 financial report. The report showed that Metaplanet achieved the best quarterly performance in the company's history. The revenue reached $6.139 million, which was an 8% increase from the previous quarter and a remarkable 943% year-on-year growth. The company also reported a profit of $4.151 million, which was 11% higher than the previous quarter. 88% of the revenue came from Bitcoin options trading. Furthermore, the company currently has a total of 6,796 Bitcoins and aims to increase its reserve to 10,000 Bitcoins by the end of the year.
