On April 9th, as per The Block, the Swiss financial technology company and infrastructure provider Taurus declared the commencement of Taurus-NETWORK. This is a novel interbank platform that is intended to link global financial institutions, facilitating seamless cooperation with digital assets. The network is geared towards unlocking new use cases like asset-backed lending, real-time settlement, and operational automation while curbing counterparty risk. The new network is meticulously constructed for the clients of Taurus-PROTECT (the company's institutional-grade custody solution) and endeavors to establish a permissioned ecosystem that is overseen by regulated entities. It enables participants to engage with one another securely without having to rely on third parties for settling or clearing transactions.
