Infini accuses its engineer of having a gambling addiction, possibly leading to the theft of $50 million

On March 20th, as reported by Wu Said Blockchain News, the team of the stablecoin digital bank InfiniInfini sent an on-chain message to the Infini hacker address and attached a court litigation document. The plaintiff in the lawsuit is Chou Christian-Long, the CEO of BP SG Investment Holding Limited (wholly owned by Infini Labs). The first defendant is Chen Shanxuan, a resident of Foshan, Guangdong. The identities of the second to fourth defendants have not been confirmed yet. The plaintiff and BP Singapore developed a smart contract for managing company and client funds. The first defendant took the lead in creating the contract. The contract originally had multi-signature permission to control fund outflows. However, it is alleged that the first defendant retained "super admin" authority and falsely informed other team members that this authority had been removed. In late February 2025, the plaintiff discovered that approximately 49.51 million USDC tokens of encrypted assets were transferred to multiple unknown wallets without multi-signature authorization. The plaintiff was concerned that the defendant or unidentified parties might further transfer or launder the assets. Therefore, they applied to the court for an injunction to prevent the defendants from transferring the stolen assets and requested the disclosure of the wallet owners' identities and related transaction information. In the affidavit, the plaintiff mentioned that they recently learned that the first defendant has a serious gambling habit, which may lead to substantial debts. They speculated that this is the reason for the asset theft and provided screenshots of relevant message records.
