The Bank of Russia has drawn up a list of crypto assets that, under newly approved rules last week, will be allowed to trade publicly on trading platforms. It noted that these assets meet relevant access criteria, including market capitalization, average daily trading volume, and at least five years of price history in overseas markets. Swiss National Bank’s (SNB) US stock foreign exchange reserves rose more than 10% in the second quarter, hitting an all-time high. According to the SNB’s 13F-HR filing submitted to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Tuesday, as of June 30, it held stakes in over 2,300 US-listed companies with a total value of $191.4 billion. The SNB allocates just over a quarter of its foreign reserves to stocks, with part of the holdings invested in the US. Its top three holdings are Nvidia (NVDA.O), Apple (AAPL.O), and Microsoft (MSFT.O). The central bank also held $716.6 million in shares of defense software firm Palantir, despite activist investors’ earlier demand that it sell around $1.1 billion of its Palantir stake, a request the SNB rejected.
