Co-founder of self-custody wallet Ready, Itamar Lesuisse, stated that Paris-based crypto card issuer Kulipa has suddenly ceased operations. Ready shut down its card business on Wednesday, with automatic refunds for eligible card subscriptions. Due to Ready’s self-custody model, user assets remain unimpacted; the card deducts funds directly from users’ wallets at the time of transaction, meaning Kulipa held no customer balances when it suspended operations.
