Jiang Zhuoer: No longer shorting ETH, switches to shorting BTC, expects BTC and ETH to bottom at different times in this cycle

Jiang Zhuoer, founder of LTB Pool (B.TOP), stated in a post that after the current market cycle concludes, he will cease shorting ETH and instead shift to shorting BTC. He plans to use WBETH as collateral to short an equal amount of BTC spot. The reasoning includes: MicroStrategy (MSTR) is not expected to increase its BTC holdings for a long time; BitMine continues to purchase ETH; coupled with the development of real-world assets (RWA) and other sectors, this bear market may mirror the previous cycle, where BTC and ETH hit their respective lows at different times. In the last cycle, ETH bottomed at $881.56 on June 18, 2022, while BTC bottomed at $15,476 on November 21, 2022, with corresponding ETH/BTC exchange rates of 0.0500 and 0.0698 respectively. This cycle, there is a possibility that ETH will bottom at $1505.68 on June 6, 2026, prompting the shift to shorting BTC. BTC has already broken below its ascending channel, while ETH remains at the lower edge of its ascending channel.

So far, 8 orders have been partially filled, totaling around 10,400 tokens sold for $597,000. The whale currently holds a full-position short of approximately 71,900 HYPE tokens at 5x leverage, with a position value of about $3.985 million, an average entry price of $57.17, unrealized profit of roughly $126,000, and a return rate of around 15.3%. If all remaining orders are filled, the whale’s HYPE short position will increase to approximately 392,300 tokens, with an estimated average entry price of around $57.54, expanding the position size to about $22.572 million. - HyperInsight Bot is now live. South Korea plans to cap leveraged investment in individual stocks at 20%, and will prioritize monitoring the effectiveness of the new policy that comes into effect on July 31.

South Korea's financial regulators today decided that if overheating in single-stock leverage products fails to subside, additional regulatory measures including individual investment caps will be introduced. A key proposal under review is to limit individual stock leverage investments to no more than 20% of total financial investment portfolio value. Rhee Ee-won, chairman of South Korea's Financial Services Commission (FSC), said at a forum today that the policy effects of supplementary measures such as strengthened initial margin requirements—set to take effect on July 31—will be closely monitored as a priority. Rhee also noted that if demand does not cool sufficiently, additional measures will be researched and prepared in advance. It is understood that the proposal under development implements aggregate management rules, capping individual stock leverage exposure at 20% of an individual’s total financial investment. For example, if an individual’s total financial investment is 100 million won, they can allocate a maximum of 20 million won to a single-stock leverage product.
