According to sources, BlackRock, Hillhouse Capital, and Temasek are set to serve as cornerstone investors in Auro Optoelectronics’ (Zhongji Chuangchuang) potential $8 billion Hong Kong IPO. Investment firms Sino-Pac Investment, JPMorgan Asset Management, Wellington Management Co., and Yunfeng Fund also plan to participate as cornerstone investors, with these investors expected to subscribe for nearly half of the shares. Auro Optoelectronics is scheduled to start accepting investor subscriptions as early as Wednesday, in what is poised to be Hong Kong’s largest stock offering in seven years. The base offering size is approximately $7 billion, though an over-allotment option could push the final size to $8 billion. Per Bitget market data, Auro Optoelectronics (300308.SZ) is currently the largest constituent of the CSI 300 Index. As a leading supplier of AI optical modules, its market capitalization and index weight have risen rapidly amid surging demand for AI infrastructure, and it is projected to surpass CATL to become the top-weighted stock in the CSI 300 Index between May and June 2026. Its core business covers optical communication devices and intelligent equipment, with products applied in cloud data centers, AI computing clusters, wireless communications, metropolitan area networks, and backbone networks.
