Nevertheless, ahead of the Federal Reserve's monetary policy meeting from October 28th to 29th and the commencement of the quiet period, several officials still have speaking engagements. The newly appointed President of the Philadelphia Fed, Paulson, is scheduled to deliver her first major speech on Monday since she is set to become an FOMC voter starting in January of next year. Federal Reserve Chair Powell is anticipated to give a speech on Tuesday afternoon to provide an update on his economic and policy views.
